Submit Your Presentation Proposals for the 2018 Best Practices Conference

The New Jersey Council of County Colleges is now accepting presentation proposals for its 18th annual Best Practices Conference, which will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Middlesex County College in Edison.

This year, all proposals are to be submitted online using the following link:

The deadline for receipt of proposals is Thursday, December 7, 2017.

As has been the practice in the past, our theme for the conference is Student Success. We will continue to formally follow the NJCCC’s Center for Student Success’ Guided Pathways Framework as the model for our proposals. You will see this information reflected on the online call for proposals. As always, proposals are not limited to the Guided Pathways Framework, but proposals that target these topics will be given priority consideration.

Please note that, in addition to our regular one hour instructional sessions, the 2018 conference will feature a series of roundtable discussions on specific topics during the last hour time slot of the conference. Last year’s conference was rich in content from cross-institutional panels.  For 2018, in addition to individual proposals, we are making cross-institutional panels that can share best practices a priority. Please look to your colleagues throughout the state to form panels as per our suggestion on the Call for Proposals form.

Once all of the proposals have been received, the Best Practices steering committee will evaluate and rank all proposals.  The committee will then meet in mid-January to select the program.  You will be notified by early February regarding your proposal.

Please contact Marsha Stoltman at 609-731-4151 or for more information.
